A Virtual Field Trip Inside a Computer!!

Welcome to an exciting online adventure!  Are you ready to take a trip through time and space?  You’re going to learn about the history of computers and about the hardware, inside and out, that is needed to make a computer work.

 

I have several activities for you to complete in order to get your grade for taking this virtual field trip.  Make sure that you can do the following things before you finish.

 

I CAN…

· explain the difference between hardware and software.

· label computer hardware.

· label the parts inside a computer and tell what each do.

· explain the difference between RAM and ROM.

· explain the difference between input and output and be able to identify which computer devices are for input and which are for output.

· write a paragraph about how technology has changed over time.
